The trademark snark, sarcasm, humor, and tight plotting you expect from Ms Lee is here and that's enough reason to buy this book. What I didn't expect was yet another distinct main character and setting. Scout is nothing like Bay who is nothing like Zoe who is nothing like Poet who is nothing like Izzy. None of them can be put in the same story for the same result. I am in awe of this talent of Ms Lee's and even if there was no snark, sarcasm, humor, and tight plotting she'd be worth following for that reason alone.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this new series. A biker gang called the "spells angels" and a small town in Michigan (that isn't Hemlock Cove, although apparently isn't too far away from it, either). The book was great - as snarky as the heroines of Hemlock Cove, but maybe a little more edgy? Less family feeling and more mysterious past. Oh, and a peeping tom ghost named... Tim.The most annoying thing about this book is that it's the first in the series, and now we have to wait for the next one to come out to find out what happens to everyone. What was the deal with the dirt in the church? What happened to the woman with the aura? What about Mama Moon? And the cat who only just got his name? And Raisin? And Gunnar's sister. And the chat with Rooster. SO MANY QUESTIONS. But my primary one is: when is the next book coming out?! (no pressure)

This is the start of a new series and it sure to be another hit! Loved this new series with its cast of characters, new creatures, and a motorcycle gang of supernatural creatures who fight for a good cause. This author has several enjoyable characters, especially the main character Scout. I can’t wait for the next one!

I love that the lead character appears to be an all powerful witch... She is very well designed as all characters Amand M. Lee creates. I didn't feel an instant connection with with series as I have a few others but it was still enjoyable and I'll be reading every book!

This is a really good book by a very talented writer. The storyline kept me on my toes. I can't wait for the next book about Scout's adventures by my number one favorite author. Ms. Lee is a very good and original storyteller! You won't be disappointed at all.

I'm enjoying this one. A little bit more of an edge that some of the others. Great interplay between the main characters. I'm also enjoying the crossing over of the Amandaverse that's going on. Well done!

As usual Amanda Lee managed to knock my socks off! Great plot and characters you can vividly see thanks to this great word master! I anxiously await the sequel.

I could not put this book down! I like the dynamic in this series. The hometown golden boy and the trouble that rolls in, so much fun. I am always entertained by Amanda M. Lee's worlds and this was no different. Excellent work!

The following year he emigrated with his quartet colleagues to the United States, where he was not fully appreciated, although he had many successes with his chamber orchestra and founded the Marlboro summer school. This biography, based on more than thirty years' research, documents Busch's life, examining his exemplary behaviour in the context of the tumultuous period in which he lived. 'Adolf is a saint', declared Arturo Toscanini. And Sir Ernest Gombrich said of Busch: 'He was exactly as he played - there was not a false tone in him'. Includes two CDs.

About the Author
A Sister for Christian Community, Meadow is also vowed to the Theravadan Buddhist nun's precepts. Mary Jo has studied with Joseph Goldstein and Sayadaw U Pandita. She is a retired university professor in psychology of religion, and has been teaching vipassana since 1987. In addition to simple vipassana instruction, Mary Jo offers vipassana as a method for Christian meditators and those working 12-step recovery programs. She teaches through Resources for Ecumenical Spirituality.

Kevin G. Culligan is a leading scholar of spirituality and a founding member of the Institute of Carmelite Studies.

Fr. Daniel Chowning is a Carmelite friar and priest who studied theology at The Catholic University of America, Washington DC, at the University of Salamanca, Spain, and at the International Centre for Teresian / Sanjuanist Studies in Avila, Spain. He has led Silence and Awareness retreats since 1989. He is an authority on the teachings of John of the Cross as well as other Christian mystics such as Teresa of Avila.

Joseph Goldstein has been leading insight and loving-kindness meditation retreats worldwide since 1974. He is a cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) in Massachusetts, where he continues as one of the resident guiding teachers.
